Kalai Vanii Jayaseelan

Kalai Vanii Jayaseelan is a Yoga adept, Mindfulness & Stillness Coach and Holistic wellness proponent.
She was born and bred in Southern India and is calling Cambridge home for the past nine years, working as Bioinformatician at the EMBL-EBI, an Inter-Governmental research organisation. She is also a Trusted Advisor at the EMBL's Ombud's Office and is a representative for a collaborative, stimulating and supportive working environment.
Kalai's passion for Mindful living stems from a significant life-altering process in her early 20s that naturally rewired her, to become a conscious human, anchoring her in the present moment awareness. Since then she has rigorously explored many texts and practices to help gain clarity, depth, structure and methods to share with all, the far-reaching benefits of cultivating inner stillness and mindful living.
She is currently a Teacher in training for the 'Search Inside Yourself' program - developed at Google and based on neuroscience, mindfulness and emotional intelligence. She is a certified Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga instructor, a trained dancer and a performing dance artist. Kalai has initiation in the advanced Vaasi Yoga practice and had deepened her own practise in intense Vipassana Meditation retreats.
Kalai is the Co-Founder and the Director of Sukhaatma, through which she offers regular Mindfulness and Movement sessions within and outside the Genome Campus workplace. She envisions to create conscious work-life environments ensuring psychological safety - helping individuals achieve wellbeing and reach peak potential, and helping organisations and relationships thrive.
She also gives regular talks to create awareness about the benefits and needs of Self-Awareness and its critical role in improved human relationships and personal effectiveness.
